American Friends of Bucerius (AFB) is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that carries out activities inspired by the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius, one of Germany’s largest private foundations, and its flagship institution Bucerius Law School, Germany’s first private law school. AFB is committed to promoting the Bucerius mission in the United States through events and programs that advance transnational legal, business and cultural dialogue.
From inception, Bucerius institutions have placed a strong emphasis on fostering relationships in the United States. Based in New York, AFB strives to bring together and support the continually growing, dynamic Bucerius community in America, made up of diverse professionals from business, law and academics, as well as Bucerius program faculty and alumni.
