Donations

American Friends of Bucerius is dedicated to supporting Bucerius in Hamburg and its efforts to take legal education to a global level. The generosity of our alumni and partners is essential so that we can continue to grow our programs in the United States and beyond. The AFB appreciates all contributions and welcomes gifts of any amount. As customary, AFB will acknowledge all donors in regular communications unless otherwise requested.

In addition to open donations, AFB defines two structured gift giving programs:

• A selected contribution between $5,000 and $10,000 goes toward continuing to advance Bucerius’s internationally-oriented agenda.
• Gifts are directed toward international student exchange programs, scholarships and financial assistance, visiting professorships, transatlantic lecturers, conferences and events in the U.S. and Germany and Executive Education programs.
• Donors of this level are cordially invited to attend regular Leaders' Table gatherings, exclusive opportunities to network and exchange ideas with Bucerius CEO Hariolf Wenzler and President Karsten Schmidt, as well as other high-profile leaders.

• In giving $10,000 or more, you can directly sponsor an American student’s semester exchange program at Bucerius in Hamburg.
• A donation toward a scholarship allows top students from all financial backgrounds the opportunity to participate in Bucerius’s academically-stimulating and culturally-enriching programs, and learn from others within our vibrant, global community.
• Sponsors are granted the option of getting to know the student on a personal level and follow his or her development, in keeping with Bucerius's emphasis on the formation of lifelong interpersonal connections.

American Friends of Bucerius Law School Inc. is a non-profit organization (EIN: 20-4854895) recognized by the IRS under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and included in their Publication 78 at http://www.irs.gov/app/pub-78/. Your donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Credit Card

Credit card payments will be handled by PayPal using a secure encrypted transaction. All major credit cards are accepted. You do not need a PayPal account in order to make a donation and your private information will not be shared with any other person, group, or organization. After making your donation, you will automatically receive an e-mail confirmation from PayPal in addition to your official acknowledgment from American Friends of Bucerius.
